Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Rennes duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Adrien Truffert.

Furuhashi scored 85 goals in 165 appearances for Celtic, before he completed a €12m (£10m) move to Rennes in the January transfer window.

Jorge Sampaoli was said to be a key driving force behind the move to sign Furuhashi, only to be dismissed just a few days after the forward's arrival in France.

Arsenal are prepared to move for striker Ollie Watkins this summer amid suggestions Aston Villa need to raise funds, according to reports.

The Gunners finished second in the Premier League for a third consecutive season, and a fourth second-placed finish would be unpalatable to boss Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard has faced scrutiny for his failure to bring major silverware to the Emirates since he won the FA Cup in 2020, and he will be keen to strengthen in the summer to end the club's trophy drought.

Many supporters have bemoaned the team's lack of offensive firepower, with striker Kai Havertz frequently criticised for his limited impact in the final third.

Manchester United are said to have leapt ahead of rivals for 16-year-old Harley Emsden-James of Southampton in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils were beaten 1-0 by ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday in a post-season friendly, dampening the mood of supporters even further.

Head coach Ruben Amorim oversaw the club's worst ever Premier League season, with the team finishing in 15th place with just 42 points.

United are also facing severe financial difficulties which could mean the United boss may have to settle for cheaper additions to his squad in the summer.

Boss Arne Slot has surpassed all expectations, especially considering Federico Chiesa was his only signing in the entirety of 2024-25.

However, with the summer transfer window fast approaching, rumours are circulating that he could be prepared to let a number of players leave Anfield in order to finally begin moulding the squad in his own image.

"This guy has it all": Reijnders could "easily be shaped" into "Gundogan-esque player"

SM-EK TR composite

Manchester City expert Steven McInerney from Esteemed Kompany believes that summer transfer target Tijjani Reijnders could "easily be shaped" into an "Ilkay Gundogan-esque player" under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.

The 26-year-old has emerged as a leading target for the Citizens, who are believed to have opened club-to-club talks with AC Milan and are soon expected to table an opening bid.

Reijnders is said to have given the green light to move to the Etihad Stadium this summer and Man City hope to complete a deal, that could cost around €50m (£41.9m) to €55m (£46.1m), before they begin their FIFA Club World Cup campaign in the middle of next month.

Why City missing out on Liverpool-bound Wirtz 'will not make or break' summer plans

SM-EK Wirtz composite

Manchester City expert Steven McInerney from Esteemed Kompany has admitted that the sight of Florian Wirtz edging closer to joining Liverpool 'stings a little bit', but the German's decision to snub Pep Guardiola's side 'will not make or break' their plans for the future.

The Citizens had been heavily linked with a move for the highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, who was regarded by many as an ideal replacement for departing club legend Kevin De Bruyne.

However, recent reports claim that Man City have cooled their interest in the 22-year-old owing to the soaring costs of any proposed deal that could be worth as much as €300m (£252.5m), inclusive of transfer fees and wages.

Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a bid for Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo, as the Magpies look to beat Manchester United to the signature of the 25-year-old during this summer's transfer window.

Mbeumo had an outstanding 2024-25 campaign for the Bees, scoring 20 goals and registering eight assists in 38 Premier League appearances, and he is expected to leave Thomas Frank's side this summer.

Man United have been named as potential suitors for the Cameroon international by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has said on his official YouTube channel: "I can confirm that Man Utd appreciate Bryan Mbeumo at Brentford. A player who did fantastic with 20 goals this season in [the] Premier League.

"Top player, really big mentality. Also fits what they want to do in the strategy at Man Utd. So players who can be for the future but [are] also ready to make [an] instant impact to help Ruben Amorim for the new season.

Grealish's camp not keen on move abroad for Man City attacker despite Napoli rumours

SM Grealish 3 composite

Jack Grealish's camp are not keen on a move abroad for the Manchester City attacker this summer, Sports Mole understands.

The England international still has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but his future is unclear heading into next season, with both himself and the Citizens open to a parting of ways in the summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola's side would favour a loan exit for the 29-year-old, but they will not entertain sending him to a Premier League rival who could challenge them for a place in the Champions League.

Grealish's £300,000-a-week salary poses a major obstacle to any potential move, though, as English clubs outside the top-five chase would likely struggle to cover a significant portion of his wages.

"With ambition" - Man United chief provides update on club's transfer plans

© Imago

Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has said that he is "very excited" about the future of the club, while he has promised that the Red Devils would act "with ambition" during this summer's transfer window.

A disastrous 2024-25 campaign saw Man United finish down in 15th spot in the Premier League table, while they lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, so qualification for the 2025-26 Champions League was not secured.

Man United are expected to soon confirm the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the Brazilian set to be the club's first signing of what is shaping up to be a hugely important window.

Berrada, speaking on the club's post-season Tour, has insisted that the Red Devils 'know what they need to do' this summer.

Arsenal 'on verge' of Zubimendi transfer: When could midfielder make Gunners debut?

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi on August 24, 2024

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of securing the signature of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

The Spain international famously turned down the chance to join Liverpool last summer in order to continue with Real Sociedad, and he made 48 appearances for the Basque side during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring two goals and registering two assists in the process.

La Real had an underwhelming season, finishing down in 11th spot in the La Liga table, meaning that there will be no European football at Anoeta Stadium during the 2025-26 season.

Arsenal have been actively working on a deal for the 26-year-old since the start of the year, but there had recently been claims that Real Madrid were looking to hijack the North London club's move.

Aston Villa have reportedly expressed a strong interest in signing Marseille defender Michael Amir Murillo.

The West Midlands outfit are currently still reeling from missing out on Champions League qualification courtesy of their controversial 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday.

As a result, Unai Emery's transfer budget will be significantly reduced as he bids to keep Villa in the upper echelons of the Premier League table.

With a £40m option not being taken up to sign loanee Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, it is arguably an indication of the extent of Villa's issues when it comes to funds for new players.

With a tough act to follow, Ten Hag will be keen to strengthen in a number of areas this summer, including in the goalkeeping department.

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is reportedly attracting interest from Marseille ahead of the summer transfer window.

On Wednesday night, the centre-back is expected to be named in the Blues XI for the Conference League final against Real Betis.

However, while the France international has featured on 10 occasions in that competition, he accumulated just 333 minutes of Premier League football during 2024-25.

As such, it has become clear that the 24-year-old could struggle to move up the pecking order under Enzo Maresca in the long term, theoretically creating a scenario where Chelsea may consider offers once the market reopens in June.
