Coronavirus outbreak

A woman wearing a mask walks by the Emirates Stadium after manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for coronavirus and their Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday has been cancelled on March 13, 2020

A number of sporting events have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak, which originated from China and has claimed the lives of thousands.

In a bid to contain its spread, major events in a range of sports across the world have been moved or cancelled.

All five of Europe's major football leagues have been indefinitely postponed, with doubts remaining over when the remaining fixtures will be played - if at all.

There are also questions over whether Euro 2020 and the Olympic Games in Beijing will take place this summer.
