Wayne Rooney 'warned by police for talking to Kyle Walker'

Wayne Rooney is alleged to have been given a ticking off by police for breaching social distancing guidelines by chatting to neighbour Kyle Walker.

Derby County player-coach Wayne Rooney has reportedly been warned by the police for breaking coronavirus lockdown rules.

The 34-year-old is said to have been given a ticking off after chatting to Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker, who lives in the same neighbourhood.

According to The Sun, the former England international teammates were seen chatting on Friday during a walk with their families - a breach of government guidelines on social distancing.

A police officer in the area is alleged to have ordered both players to return to their homes.

The news comes a day after Walker apologised for holding a party at his home last week.
