Barcelona have confirmed that Pedri and Ferran Torres are the club's latest players to test positive for COVID-19.
Xavi's ranks have been severely depleted following a plethora of coronavirus cases in recent weeks, with no fewer than 10 players previously out due to the wide scale outbreak.
Now, Barca have confirmed that Pedri and Torres have also contracted the virus, although the two compatriots are currently sidelined due to injury.
Barcelona said in a statement: "Pedri and Ferran Torres have tested positive for Covid-19. The players are in good health and are in isolation at their homes. The club has informed the relevant authorities."
Xavi is also expected to be without six more positive players in Gavi, Ousmane Dembele, Alejandro Balde, Sergino Dest, Philippe Coutinho and Abde Ezzalzouli for Wednesday's Copa del Rey clash with Linares.
Pedri is expected to remain out for most of the month with a muscle injury anyway, while Torres is still on the road to recovery from his metatarsal fracture.
