Jurgen Klopp will reportedly become the latest manager to announce a salary cut following the indefinite postponement of the Premier League.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to take a temporary pay cut as Premier League clubs struggle to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

All 20 top-flight teams have been in discussions over reducing salaries in order to cut costs, with the season indefinitely postponed in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to the Daily Mail, Klopp has followed in the steps of Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion counterparts Eddie Howe and Graham Potter by accepting a smaller salary for the foreseeable future.

Liverpool, who in February announced pre-tax profits of £42m for 2018-19, were criticised last week for their decision to furlough non-playing staff members.

The Reds have not been in action since March 11 and will not play again until the beginning of May at the earliest.
