Inter 'discipline Lukaku over misleading claims'

Romelu Lukaku has reportedly been disciplined by Inter Milan after angering the Italian giants over misleading coronavirus claims made on social media.

The Belgium international suggested during a Twitter Q&A that 23 out of 25 members of Inter's squad suffered from COVID-19 symptoms in January without being tested.

Defender Milan Skriniar had to be substituted during a match at the turn of the year after complaining of feeling dizzy, while Lukaku suffered from a fever at the same time.

Spanish outlet AS reports that Nerazzurri were not pleased with the 26-year-old's online allegations and have spoken to him.

Lukaku has scored 23 goals in all competitions for Inter since joining from Manchester United last summer.
