Paulo Dybala denies testing positive for coronavirus

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has dismissed rumours that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Argentine's teammate Daniele Rugani confirmed that he had contracted the virus earlier this week, and a large number of Juventus players and staff have been in self-isolation as a precaution.

Since the defender's positive test result, rumours had been circulating that Dybala had also caught the virus, but the 26-year-old has confirmed that he is safe and well.

In a post on social media, Dybala said: "Hello everyone, I wanted to confirm that I am well and in voluntary isolation. Thank you all for the messages and I hope you are well."

The Argentine's announcement comes after Cristiano Ronaldo was given the all-clear, as the whole of Italy has gone into lockdown.

Dybala has registered seven goals and nine assists in 24 Serie A appearances for the Old Lady this season.
