Real Madrid transfer news: Los Blancos' first 2026 summer signing 'has already said yes' to move

Real Madrid's first 2026 summer signing 'has already said yes' to move

Real Madrid have already chosen their first recruit for the summer 2026 transfer window. The lucky one has, moreover, already given his agreement to the Merengues.

Real Madrid are at the heart of the news, as often, in recent days. Indeed, Xabi Alonso does not seem to be achieving consensus internally with notably tense relations with several squad stars. Whilst Rodrygo seems to be heading for the exit, Vinicius Jr is moving even further away from the Spanish giants.

The Brazilian winger reportedly told Florentino Perez that he no longer wished to extend his contract with the Merengues because of the Spanish manager. It is in this tense climate that Real Madrid approach this new Champions League week, but are also preparing their 2026 transfer window.

Real Madrid want to complete Nico Paz's return

The arrival of a centre-back is expected with profiles such as Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konate and Marc Guehi targeted, but that is not all. The La Liga side have notably already chosen their first recruit for summer 2026. According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid plan to bring back Nico Paz.

The Argentine attacking midfielder had left the La Liga leaders in August 2024 to join Como for €6m (£5.3m). Aware of having trained a prodigy, Real nevertheless included buyback clauses for the 21-year-old player every year. The amount varies according to sources, but Nico Paz's return, who is now valued at €55m (£47m) by Transfermarkt, should not cost the Merengues more than €10m (£8.5m).

Nico Paz has said yes to joining Real Madrid in next summer window

It should be noted that this buyback clause is not valid in January and that Como wish to keep the Argentina international until the end of the season. It must be said that the Santa Cruz de Tenerife native in Spain is very important within Cesc Fabregas's side as he has played 13 matches this season for five goals and four assists in a number 10 role.

Fabrizio Romano makes us understand that this deal is virtually sealed for next summer, when Paz should be Real Madrid's first summer recruit. The main party "has already said yes" to a return to his training club, despite interest from Chelsea and Inter Milan.
