Bruno Fernandes will be available for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Newcastle United despite self-isolation fears, according to a report.

Bruno Fernandes will reportedly be available for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Saturday night despite self-isolation fears.

The attacker's presence against the Magpies was thrown into doubt after Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for coronavirus, fuelling suggestions that Fernandes could be forced to self-isolate at home for two weeks despite returning a negative test.

However, according to The Telegraph, the January arrival from Sporting Lisbon will be available for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side on their return to Premier League action.

The report claims that the 26-year-old and his international teammates did not come into close contact with Ronaldo indoors, meaning that they will be able to feature for their clubs this weekend despite the Juventus attacker's positive result.

United are already missing both Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani for their trip to Steve Bruce's side, with the former suspended due to his red card against Tottenham Hotspur, while the latter is in quarantine after arriving from France earlier this month.

Fernandes played 86 minutes of Portugal's 3-0 win over Sweden in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night.
