Preview: Burnley vs. Blackburn Rovers

Sports Mole previews this weekend's East Lancashire derby between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor.

The atmosphere at Turf Moor is expected to be electric this weekend as Burnley welcome rivals Blackburn Rovers for the East Lancashire derby in the Championship.

Both clubs called for "respect" from the supporters ahead of the clash in a bid to prevent any unsavoury behaviour during the encounter.

In terms of their form on the pitch, Sean Dyche's Burnley side have a more positive record having secured three victories, one draw and one defeat from their first five matches of the campaign, resulting in third place in the league table.

Blackburn's season so far under manager Gary Bowyer has been inconsistent following two defeats, one draw and two wins, and there is a doubt over striker Jordan Rhodes, who was forced to pull out of Scotland's squad to face Macedonia during the international break.

Burnley, they will be unable to call on midfielder David Jones due to his suspension, which was suffered after he picked up his fourth yellow card during the Clarets' 3-0 win over Derby County.
