Burnley, Blackburn Rovers call for "respect" from fans during derby

Burnley and Blackburn Rovers issue a joint statement calling for fans to show "respect" during the East Lancashire derby this weekend.

Burnley and Blackburn Rovers have issued a joint statement calling on fans to behave during this weekend's East Lancashire derby at Turf Moor.

The Championship rivals have stated that they both have a "zero tolerance" for discriminatory behaviour, and have encouraged fans to report any incidents that occur throughout the fixture.

"We encourage all supporters attending this game to respect each other and the authorities," said the statement.

"An East Lancashire derby between our two historic clubs is always a special occasion and we hope Saturday's Championship game will be remembered for the action on the pitch and the positive backing of both sets of supporters."

The game will kick off on Saturday at 12.15pm.
