A large chunk of Benteke's fee would have been taken out of the sum received from the sale of Sterling, which in turn has knocked Stevan Jovetic down the Manchester City pecking order. Man City have already made one of the biggest signings of the summer in Raheem Sterling, but they don't seem to be content with breaking the English transfer fee. They could break the British record of £59.7m too if they are to bring Kevin de Bruyne to the Etihad as reports suggest.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Inter Milan's Mateo Kovacic, but it doesn't sound like the midfielder will be leaving the Nerazzurri this summer.

Stoke City have reportedly re-ignited their interest in Barcelona youngster Adama Traore, who is expected to leave the Catalan outfit on loan this summer. The 19-year-old has been with Barcelona since 2004 and scored his first senior goal for the club in their Copa del Rey clash with Huesca last season.
Fulham have reportedly made an improved third offer for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk. Recent speculation has suggested that the Londoners have recently seen £2.5m and £3m bids for the 23-year-old rejected by their Championship counterparts.

Inter Milan have reportedly agreed a deal with Wolfsburg for the signing of Croatian international Ivan Perisic on a long-term contract. The 26-year-old joined Wolfsburg from Borussia Dortmund in 2013 and has netted 20 times in 84 games for the German outfit.
Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Bordeaux striker Diego Nolan. The Premier League outfit are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer when Christian Benteke finally completes his move to Liverpool.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has reportedly identified Udinese's Thomas Heurtaux as his main defensive target this summer, amid speculation that John Stones is bound for Chelsea. You can read more about that development here.
Experienced German international Kevin Grosskreutz has admitted that he could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. The 27-year-old's current deal at BVB expires next summer and with no fresh contract on the horizon, the midfielder's future is unclear.
Norwich are very interested in signing Robbie Brady from Hull this summer, but Steve Bruce has insisted that he won't be sold for less than the club's valuation.
Veteran midfielder David Dunn left Blackburn this summer and is currently without a club. That might be about to change, though, with a nearby Lancashire outfit said to be keen on him.

Derby have been heavily linked with a move for former defender Jason Shackell this summer and now Rams boss Paul Clement has spoken about the possibility of him moving back to the iPro Stadium.

Arsenal poached the impressive Hector Bellerin from Barcelona and they might be about to raid the Catalan club again.
Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy reveals that he wants to sign two or three more players this summer. The Blues lost in the Championship playoff semi-finals last season and have since lost first-choice left-back Tyrone Mings to Bournemouth.
With Blackburn Rovers under a transfer embargo, teams will have to pay a big wedge if they want to sign either of the Lancashire club's star strikers. Rudy Gestede arguably outshone Jordan Rhodes last season and the Beninese striker could be joining Watford if you believe the latest speculation.

Into the Championship now and some news that will please Leeds United fans. Whites head coach Uwe Rosler has insisted that right-back Sam Byram will not be sold by the club this summer, following speculation linking him with Everton and Swansea City.

Charlie Austin's future has been the subject of much speculation throughout the summer, and Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has given a clue over the striker's next destination. Parish believes it is unlikely that Palace will sign the Queens Park Rangers man because he expects him to join a bigger Premier League club. More here.
More now on the story that broke yesterday, which saw Patrick Bamford move to Crystal Palace from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal. The striker has been speaking about his move to Selhurst Park, stating that it was an easy decision for him to link up with the Eagles.
Liverpool fans, this one's for you! As you well know, Christian Benteke is closing in on a move to Anfield after the Reds reportedly agreed to pay Aston Villa the striker's £32.5m buyout clause last week. According to Sky Sports News, the transfer will be completed today. The 24-year-old Belgian will become Liverpool's seventh signing of the summer if everything goes to plan.
