Report: Real Madrid want fit-again Ilkay Gundogan

A report claims that Real Madrid want to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan in January.

Real Madrid will reportedly launch a bid for Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan in January despite the midfielder's injury problems.

It was confirmed on Monday that, after 14 months on the sidelines with a back problem, the German international is now back to full fitness.

Before his injury, Gundogan was regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in European football and had been linked with a move away from Dortmund.

According to various reports in Spain, Los Blancos will launch an official offer when the winter transfer window opens.

Manchester United are also said to be preparing a move.
