Half-Time Report: Manchester United and Chelsea all square at Old Trafford

Manchester United and Chelsea play out a goalless first half in David Moyes's first Old Trafford match in charge of the Red Devils.

Neither Manchester United or Chelsea could break the deadlock in the first half of their Premier League clash at Old Trafford this evening.

The visitors had the first decent sight of goal after 10 minutes when Rio Ferdinand failed to clear a cross, but Oscar's shot from the edge of the area was held by David de Gea.

Robin van Persie was the first to threaten the Chelsea goal, doing so in the 25th minute when he sent a vicious drive into the side netting after Michael Carrick had won the ball.

Oscar had another shooting opportunity right on the stroke of half time, but once again he was denied by De Gea, who made a fairly routine stop as the referee brought an end to a tentative half.
