Papiss Cisse: 'Newcastle United ready for Chelsea'

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse believes that the team are ready for a "very hard game" against Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Papiss Cisse has said that Newcastle United are expecting a "very hard game" when they host Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.

The league leaders are still unbeaten this season, and eased to a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week, despite being without top scorer Diego Costa, who is available for the trip to St James' Park.

The striker told the Shields Gazette: "Maybe Newcastle will beat them on Saturday! All the players know this team is the big one this year. If you play this team, you need to be clear in your head about your job.

"You need to play well, and maybe you win the game. It's a big game. We need to be ready, because Chelsea will give us a very hard game. I know the players will be ready for this game."

Cisse was on the scoresheet during Newcastle's 1-1 draw with Burnley earlier this week.
