Zenit St Petersburg are reportedly eager to sign Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen.
It has been claimed that the Belgian centre-back has grown unhappy at the Emirates Stadium, having spent the majority of the campaign among the substitutes.
While the deadline passed for English clubs to sign players on Friday, teams in Russia are permitted to make recruits until the end of this month.
As a result, Zenit are plotting a bid for Vermaelen, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from Ajax back in 2009.
