Good morning everyone! What will today bring in the world of transfers? A staggering £450m has already been spent by England's top-flight clubs, and I hazard a guess that plenty more cash will change hands over the course of the next five weeks. We're edging even closer to the new football season getting underway on UK shores, as well as abroad, so will clubs be working extra hard to get signings over the line before kickoff? Time will tell.

Manchester United have been making transfer headlines yet again. In the early hours of this morning, the Premier League giants confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Sergio Romero on a three-year deal. Today, according to The Independent, United will finally part ways with Angel di Maria, who is expected to finalise a £45.9m switch to Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine moved to Old Trafford just last year for a British record £59.7m fee.

Reports over the weekend have claimed that Charlie Austin's potential suitors have been put off by his alleged £85,000-a-week wage demands, and it seems that the Queens Park Rangers striker has responded to those rumours...

It's time to provide a little roundup of all the transfer stories that have emerged over the past 13 hours or so. To make it easier for you, we've gathered all the news and put them in one place! To have a look through our Transfer Talk Update, click here.

Aston Villa are on the verge of adding a new face to their squad. The Midlands outfit have agreed a deal with Cordoba for left-back Jose Angel Crespo, the Spanish club have confirmed this morning.

More news from Villa now. Assistant manager Ray Wilkins has confirmed that the club are close to completing the signing of Jordan Ayew from Lorient. The Ghana striker has arrived in England to undergo a medical and finalise a switch to Villa Park.

Stoke City have been linked with Netherlands international Ibrahim Afellay this summer. The winger is a free agent after leaving Barcelona and, according to a report, he is now having a medical with the Potters with a view to signing for them.

Kevin de Bruyne's future has been a talking point for some time, but now the Wolfsburg midfielder has admitted that he is considering his future. The 24-year-old Belgian has been linked to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, and he has told Kicker that he does not know where he will be playing football next season.

Liverpool have strengthened heavily in attack this summer, but a new arrival could now be imminent. Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly still a target for the Reds, despite Danny Ings, Christian Benteke and Divock Origi already coming in this summer.

It's the transfer saga that just keeps rolling on. Rafael Benitez has been speaking again (AGAIN!) about Manchester United-linked defender Sergio Ramos this afternoon. Read what he had to say right here.

Turning attention to the blue half of Manchester now, and it appears as though Stevan Jovetic's switch to Inter Milan has moved a giant step closer. The Montenegro international is undergoing a medical at Inter Milan this afternoon, with the Italian giants expected to pay out up to £14m for the forward's signature.

DONE DEAL! Ibrahim Afellay has become the latest player to swap Barcelona for Stoke City. Read more on this developing story right here.

It has been another busy day of transfer activity across the continent, but fear not because we have rounded up all the latest goings on in our evening update.

DONE DEAL! Yet another former Premier League star has moved to America this summer, as Didier Drogba has just completed a switch to Canadian outfit Montreal Impact.

DONE DEAL! Here's another transfer to tell you about and it comes from East London, where West Ham United have snapped up defender George Dobson from Arsenal. The 17-year-old is a boyhood supporter of the Hammers and has captained the Gunners at Under-18 level.

Schalke 04 winger Julian Draxler has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus this summer, but his club have confirmed that they have rejected a bid from the Italians.

One of the summer's longest running transfer sagas could be coming to an end, as Laurent Blanc has claimed that Angel di Maria's transfer to Paris Saint-Germain is "close to being finalised". The Manchester United winger has long been linked with an exit from Old Trafford, after failing to impress in his debut campaign.

Atletico Madrid full-back Javier Manquillo has joined Marseille on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old had joined Liverpool on a two-year loan last season, but the deal was terminated earlier this month.

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has been linked with a move to Arsenal. A report from France claims that the Spain international will seal a transfer to the Gunners next week for a fee of £8.56m.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Bakary Sako is reportedly on the verge of joining West Bromwich Albion. The 27-year-old left Wolves at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract and it is believed that he has now undergone a medical with the Baggies.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Napoli forward Jose Callejon. The 28-year-old has impressed during his two years in Italy and has bagged 32 goals in all competitions for the Partenopei, but he has been linked with a move away this summer.

Carpi are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool striker Fabio Borini for their first season in Serie A. It is believed that they are looking for a striker to lead their attack in the new campaign and the 24-year-old has emerged as a potential target.

It looks like Everton have already lined up a replacement for John Stones with the England defender looking likely to leave the club this summer. A £10m move for Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk will be made this week, according to reports.

Let's take a trip across Liverpool now, and news is emerging overnight that Liverpool are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne, The 22-year-old is thought to be looking to leave the French champions.

Manchester United's signing of Pedro just seems to be getting closer every day. The latest on that one is that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward met with Pedro's agent to discuss a move. With Angel di Maria looking likely to leave, Pedro could be the ideal replacement.

Does £10m for Saido Berahino sound cheap to you? West Bromwich Albion certainly seem to think so, as they look set to reject Tottenham Hotspur's bid for the 21-year-old striker.

That's all for tonight, but join us again from 7am for all of Tuesday's transfer news and speculation.
