Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Valladolid

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.

Barcelona will be looking to make it three La Liga victories in a row when they travel to Real Valladolid on Saturday night.

The Spanish champions are currently a point behind league leaders Real Madrid in the table, although the gap will again become four points if Zinedine Zidane's side beat Alaves on Friday night.

Only a win will do for Quique Setien's team as they chase down Los Blancos, and the Catalan giants will enter this weekend's match off the back of a 1-0 win over Catalan rivals Espanyol on Wednesday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Valladolid, who have only won one of their last seven in the league.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Dembele has struggled with injuries throughout the season, making just five La Liga appearances and nine in all competitions. The Frenchman has been out since the end of November with his latest hamstring issue, and he will not be able to return for the Spanish champions until next season.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: July 11 (vs. Valladolid)

De Jong has been on the sidelines since the middle of June with a calf problem, but the Netherlands international is now back in training and could make his return against Valladolid this weekend.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: July 11 (vs. Valladolid)

Umtiti has missed Barca's last two matches with a knee problem, and it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman is available this weekend. Injures have restricted the centre-back to just 13 La Liga appearances this term, and he has recently been linked with a summer exit.

Junior Firpo

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: July 11 (vs. Valladolid)

Barca were without Firpo against Villarreal and Espanyol due to a hip problem, but the issue is not thought to be serious, and the 23-year-old could be available for Setien's side on Saturday.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Possible return date: July 14 (vs. Osasuna)

Barca will be unable to call upon Fati against Valladolid, with the youngster suspended due to the red card that he picked up in the 50th minute of Wednesday's clash with Espanyol.
