Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has slammed Manchester City for being “money wasters”.
The Champions League opponents made their competition debuts in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium last night.
Since then De Laurentiis has criticised the Premier League side, who are owned by United Emirates billionaire Sheik Mansour, for their lavish spending and believes that they do not adhere to the imminent financial fair play rules.
"Does [UEFA president] Michel Platini want to make this financial fair play rule or not?" De Laurentiis said.
"Is it going to be respected? In any case, I have fun challenging money wasters."
The two sides face each other for the return Champions League Group A fixture on Tuesday, November 22.
