Mitchell Duke strikes in added time to hand Central Coast Mariners late win

Mitchell Duke scores a 93rd-minute winner in Central Coast Mariners' 2-1 victory at Perth Glory.

Mitchell Duke scored an injury-time winner as Central Coast Mariners came from behind to snatch a dramatic 2-1 win away at Perth Glory today.

Former Premier League defender William Gallas almost put the home side ahead in the 17th minute with a spectacular overhead kick, but his effort flew inches over the crossbar.

The home fans were on their feet cheering a goal in the 24th minute though, when Jamie MacLaren kept his composure to put Perth Glory 1-0 up after taking Scott Jamieson's through-ball into his stride.

However, Gallas left the field through injury on the half-hour mark, and Central Coast Mariners equalised just four minutes later when Michael McGlinchey reacted quickest to prod home a loose ball in the penalty area.

On the stroke of half time, McGlinchey almost put his side ahead, but the midfielder saw his free kick come back off the post.

After the break, Perth Glory's Ryan Edwards went close before Mitchell Duke blazed his volley over the crossbar at the other end.

The home side had to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men, as Jamieson left the field after Perth Glory had made all three substitutions.

The home side thought they had done enough to secure a point, but three minutes into added time, Mitchell Duke volleyed home from Joshua Rose's cross to snatch victory.
