Luis Suarez to become Arsenal's highest earner of all time?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly draws up a £160,000-a-week contract for wantaway Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make Luis Suarez the highest earner in the club's history.

The Gunners have been chasing the Liverpool forward all summer and have offered the Reds over £40m for his services.

Although Liverpool have rejected that bid, Suarez's days at Anfield appear to be numbered.

The 26-year-old is currently training alone and manager Brendan Rodgers insists that he will continue to do so until he apologises for publicly expressing his desire to leave the Merseyside club.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be confident of completing a deal to sign Suarez prior to September's closing of the transfer window and, according to The Metro, the Frenchman has drawn up a four-year, £160,000-a-week contract for the player.

Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott top Arsenal's pay chart at present, each earning around £100,000 per week.
