Manchester United reportedly contact Mino Raiola to discuss the possibility of Paul Pogba signing a new long-term contract at the club.

Manchester United have reportedly contacted Mino Raiola to discuss the possibility of Paul Pogba signing a new long-term contract with the 20-time English champions.

Pogba was strongly linked with a move away from United during the summer, having expressed a desire to seek pastures new ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

The Red Devils ultimately refused to sell the France international, though, and he will now remain at Old Trafford until at least the January transfer window.

According to L'Equipe, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are exploring the possibility of extending Pogba's current deal at the club, which has seen them approach the midfielder's agent.

Raiola is believed to have pleaded with United to sell Pogba in the latter stages of the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid seemingly determined to land the 2018 World Cup winner.

Pogba has two years left to run on his current deal with the English giants, who also have the option to trigger an additional 12 months should a new contract not be agreed.

The midfielder was an ever-present for United during pre-season despite the speculation surrounding his future, and the former Le Havre youngster has played every minute of their four Premier League fixtures this term.
