Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland reportedly tells Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to move to Old Trafford in January.

Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly told Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to move to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been in staggering form for his Austrian club during the 2019-20 campaign, finding the back of the net on 28 occasions in all competitions, including eight times in the Champions League.

Solskjaer is believed to have met with the teenager on Friday to discuss a potential mid-season move.

According to The Mirror, the Norway international has made it clear that he wants to join the 20-time English champions next month despite recently visiting the training grounds of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

The youngster is reportedly wanted by United as part of a £250m rebuild, which will also allegedly include a big-money swoop for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have impressed for the Red Devils in recent weeks, but the team are short of experienced options in attack following the exits of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who both joined Inter Milan before the end of the summer transfer window.
