Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brands Bruno Fernandes "a conductor" following Monday's 2-0 win at Chelsea.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer branded Bruno Fernandes "a conductor" following the Portuguese's performance against Chelsea on Monday night.

Fernandes, who arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon during the January transfer window, provided the assist for Harry Maguire to score United's second of the match at Stamford Bridge.

Anthony Martial had made the breakthrough late in the first half, and the Red Devils kept Chelsea out down the other end to pick up a 2-0 victory in the English capital.

After the match, Solskjaer lavished praise on Fernandes for his performance against the Blues, branding the attacking midfielder "a top player".

"He's a top player. He is a conductor, he wants to get on the ball. His set-piece delivery is top class, he was unfortunate that he did not score with his free kick on the near post," Solskjaer told reporters.

United are now just three points off fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table.
