Liverpool reportedly join Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and West Ham United in the race for Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente.

Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Spain international in the past, but no formal approach has so far materialised.

However, Jurgen Klopp's side are understood to have sent scouts to watch Llorente against Levante before the international break, and Mundo Deportivo reports that they are now considering further action ahead of the January transfer window.

Liverpool are one of a number of Premier League clubs thought to be tracking the Real Madrid academy graduate, with London trio Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and West Ham United also credited with an interest.

Llorente's form for Sociedad recently earned him a recall to the Spain squad, and his club are reluctant to lose him in January.

The 25-year-old's contract at the club does not expire until 2022, although he does have a €50m (£44.2m) release clause in his current deal, while Real Madrid could re-sign him for €25m (£22.1m).
