Draw at Falkirk moves Livingston off the bottom

Falkirk and Livingston play out a goalless draw in the Scottish Championship.

A goalless draw at Falkirk was enough to move Livingston off the bottom of the Scottish Championship this evening.

It was an ill-tempered match at Falkirk Stadium, in which seven players saw yellow cards, but goalmouth action was scarce at both ends of the park.

The hosts almost went ahead in the 11th minute when Livingston goalkeeper Darren Jamieson produced a double save to deny Alex Cooper and David Smith in rapid succession.

Falkirk had the better chances throughout but were wasteful. They could have taken three points in the 70th minute when Will Vaulks's header needed a line clearance from Kyle Jacobs to keep out.

The Bairns remain in sixth place in the table following the stalemate.
