Welcome to Sports Mole's live transfer blog on Tuesday, July 7.

Football clubs have until September 1 to complete their transfer business, so there's plenty of time for deals to get over the line.

Big-name stars including Raheem Sterling, Sergio Ramos, David de Gea and Paul Pogba have dominated the headlines, but they all remain at their respective clubs for the time being.

If that changes today, we will let you know, and we will also bring you developments of all the activity in the transfer merry-go-round.

Good morning everyone! Are we in for a busy day of transfer activity? It's too early to tell, but let's hope so! The biggest news from yesterday was Barcelona's capture of Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid for an initial £24.1m fee. The bad news for Turan though, is that he'll be twiddling his thumbs until January next year due to the Cataln giants' transfer ban.

But enough about yesterday, what will today bring? A major headline from the Daily Mail emerged in the last few hours and it concerns Bayern Munich and Manchester United. It is believed that the Bundesliga champions are willing to offer Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben in a cash deal involving Angel di Maria. United have been linked with both Bayern players in the past and it appears that talks may begin regarding a transfer. Watch this space!

If you'd like to catch up on all the stories that emerged overnight, then have a read through our latest update. Pedro, Kevin de Bruyne and Christian Benteke all feature!

The future of Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho has been subject of much speculation this summer, with Arsenal said to be chasing his signature. However, it appears that the Portuguese midfielder is going nowhere, with new Sporting boss Jorge Jesus stating that he has no intention of selling him.

Into the Championship now, where Rotherham United's busy summer of transfer activity continues. The Millers have made their seventh signing of the close season with the capture of former Nottingham Forest defender Greg Halford on a free transfer.

Manchester United have been linked with Torino full-back Matteo Darmian this summer and it appears that they have now moved a step closer to signing him. According to a report, the Red Devils have agreed a deal with the Italy international over a switch to Old Trafford.

DONE DEAL! Southampton have made their fourth signing of the transfer window, with defender Cuco Martina joining from FC Twente. The Curacao international has signed a two-year deal with the South Coast club.

Leeds United have reportedly taken former Newcastle United goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on trial. The 22-year-old is a free agent after leaving the Magpies at the end of last season.

Andrea Pirlo reportedly has no intention of joining Manchester City on a loan deal following his transfer to MLS side New York City FC. The Italian agreed a move with the Manhattan-based outfit on Monday following a four-year spell at Juventus.

Transfer news of a sort now, with reports suggesting that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has agreed a new four-year contract with the Premier League champions. The 52-year-old's current deal at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 2017.

Victor Valdes has reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign for Valencia. Following a spell on the sidelines with a cruciate knee ligament injury, the goalkeeper joined Manchester United on an 18-month contract back in January.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly started negotiations to sign former Real Madrid attacker Jose Callejon. The 28-year-old has spent the previous two seasons in Serie A with Napoli, for whom he has scored 32 goals in 102 appearances.

Craig Davies has signed a two-year contract with League One side Wigan Athletic following his release by Bolton Wanderers. The striker, 29, left Bolton after two and a half years with the Trotters this summer.

Inter Milan have reportedly explored the possibility of using Xherdan Shaqiri in a deal to bring Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic to the San Siro. Recent reports have suggested that Inter are keen to complete a deal for Perisic this summer, with the possibility of a season-long loan being followed by a permanent move next year.

Meanwhile, over in Spain, a report has suggested that full-backs Dani Carvajal and Marcelo are both in line for new deals at the Bernabeu. All the details can be found here.

A bit closer to home in Wolverhampton, midfielder Kevin McDonald is not a happy man. He has been offered a new contract by Wanderers, but is not best pleased with the terms presented to him. Could the Scot be on the move?

DONE DEAL! Jamie O'Hara - remember him?! The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has just signed a one-year deal with Fulham. More here.

Anyone heard of Olivier Kemen?! Well, Liverpool and Tottenham fans might need to remember the name. According to one report, those two clubs are both keen to sign the Newcastle United youngster, who arrived on Tyneside from Metz two years ago. The midfielder is currently with the France squad at the Under-19 European Championships.

Forest fans take note - your owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has insisted that there will be a "strong squad" at the City Ground next season. Also, he has revealed that there are no plans to sell Michail Antonio. Surely that's music to the ears to all those of Forest persuasion?

What a deal this would be! A report in Spain says that Real Madrid want to sign this man!

Would it be that much of a surprise if striker Edin Dzeko wasn't turning out in sky blue for Man City next season? Roma have been heavily linked with a move for the Bosnian - here's the latest on those murmurings.

DONE DEAL! A new signing for Italian champions and beaten Champions League finalists Juventus. Find out who it is here.

Another completed transfer to bring you news of as Cardiff City sign Sammy Ameobi on a season-long loan from Newcastle United. Here's the story.

Time to bring you some news from Sevilla, who are certainly keeping busy in the window. The La Liga side have completed the signing of Adil Rami from AC Milan and are also in talks with Stoke City over the transfer of Steven N'Zonzi.

This move has been a little drawn out in recent days, but now Burnley have confirmed the arrival of Jelle Vossen from Genk. The striker spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough.

Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede has attracted plenty of Premier League interest in the last two transfer windows and the latest club to be linked with a move for the athletic striker are newly-promoted Watford, who seemingly still have plenty of cash to splash despite their club-record signing of Etienne Capoue yesterday.

We mentioned a little earlier that Edin Dzeko might be off to Roma, but could another City striker be heading to Italy? Stevan Jovetic is reportedly close to a move to Inter Milan.

7PM UPDATE! Been busy all day and not able to keep up with all the transfer news? Well, our 7pm update with all the day's headlines is just what you need.

Not a transfer story, but the return of Bojan will certainly feel like a new signing for Stoke after his serious injury right at the start of this year. He has been out for six months but is now ready to join his teammates on their pre-season tour in Singapore.

It hasn't quite worked out for Joel Campbell at Arsenal and it looks like the Costa Rican could possibly be moving to Besiktas in Turkey.

One of the more complicated transfer stories doing the rounds at the moment is that of Toby Alderweireld to Tottenham Hotspur, but there has been another development in that saga which is likely to please fans of the North London club...

Manchester City have been linked to a number of clubs already in this window, but we are yet to see them make any serious waves beyond their rejected bids for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling. However, club captain Vincent Kompany has warned that last season's runners-up could become "exposed" if they fail to add "two or three quality players" this summer.

DONE DEAL! Atletico Madrid have had a long line of impressive strikers in recent seasons, and they have just added Luciano Vietto to that list. The promising 21-year-old has moved to the former Spanish champions on a six-year deal.

Some news for you Crystal Palace fans to get very excited about - a club-record fee has reportedly been agreed with Paris Saint-Germain for Yohan Cabaye. The France international would be reunited with Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park having failed to make his mark in the French capital. That would be some statement of intent from the Eagles...

There have been plenty of arrivals at Anfield this summer, but one face that won't be returning to the red half of Merseyside next season is Javier Manquillo. The young Spanish full-back has had his loan spell with Liverpool cut short by parent club Atletico Madrid. Find out why here.

Manquillo is unlikely to be the last one out of the Anfield exit door this summer either. The Raheem Sterling saga is one of the biggest stories of this window, and there has been a big development that will make Manchester City fans all the more optimistic in their pursuit of the England international. Find out what measures the youngster has reportedly gone to to force through the move here.

Another player who may be arriving at the Etihad this summer is Fabian Delph, who has been linked with an £8m switch to last season's runners-up. Well, his new teammate Micah Richards - who went in the opposite direction last month - has revealed that Delph has asked for his advice over a potential move.

Real Madrid have reportedly rejected a £20m offer from Chelsea for midfielder Isco. Juventus are also said to have made an approach for the Spanish playmaker, but the La Liga giants are apparently unwilling to part with him.

Carl Jenkinson is expected to rejoin West Ham United on loan soon, but fresh reports suggest that Arsenal have long-term plans for the defender and want him to sign a new contract. Jenkinson made 32 Premier League appearances for the Hammers last term.

Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva has admitted that he could leave the club on loan in search of first-team football ahead of the new season. The Brazilian is planning to meet with manager Rafael Benitez this summer to discuss his immediate future.

Just a reminder, you can catch up on all of the transfer gossip from earlier this evening with our latest Transfer Talk update here.

DONE DEAL! Bryan Ruiz has joined Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon from Fulham. The Costa Rica international has signed a three-year contract with the club, ending his four-year stint in England.

Ex-Crystal Palace winger Jimmy Kebe has been handed a trial by Spanish side Mallorca. The Mali international has passed a medical with the club, but they are unwilling to offer him a contract until he has proven his fitness.

Here's a big story from earlier this evening that is still developing... Raheem Sterling has allegedly refused to join the Liverpool squad for their pre-season tour in an attempt to force them to sell him to Manchester City. The Sky Blues, who have already had two bids for the England man turned down, are said to be prepared to offer £50m this time.

That's all we have time for this evening but be sure to rejoin us from 7am for all of the latest transfer gossip from the footballing world. Many thanks for reading!
