Manchester United are reportedly hopeful that Real Betis' interest in signing Antony on a permanent basis could put them in the driving seat when it comes to a possible deal for Jesus Rodriguez.

Antony made the move on loan to Real Betis in January, and he has been in strong form for the Seville outfit, scoring four times and registering four assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.

As it stands, the 25-year-old will return to Old Trafford this summer, but he has hinted on numerous occasions in recent weeks that he is not planning to head back to Manchester for the 2025-26 campaign.

Real Betis have expressed a desire to sign the Brazilian on a permanent basis, and according to journalist Graeme Bailey, Man United could use the situation in their favour when it comes to a possible deal for Rodriguez.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Andre Onana will start Thursday's Europa League clash against Lyon.

Onana made two mistakes in the first leg of the quarter-final between the two sides last week, which contributed to him being left out of the squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Altay Bayindir made his Premier League debut against the Magpies, but a difficult afternoon saw the Turkey international concede four times.

Amorim has confirmed that Onana will be back between the sticks against Lyon, as the 20-time English champions bid to navigate their way into the semi-finals of the tournament against either Athletic Bilbao or Rangers.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy as a potential summer transfer target.

The La Liga giants are still on course to complete the quadruple this season, sitting strongly in Spain's top flight, Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

As recently as Tuesday night, Hansi Flick's side booked their place in the last four of the Champions League courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate win over Dortmund.

However, in the second leg at the Westfalenstadion, Dortmund prevailed by a 3-1 scoreline, their star players impressing to end Barcelona's long-standing unbeaten streak in all competitions.

Salah's successor: Liverpool receive Rodrygo green light from Real Madrid legend

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo would be a success in the Premier League and has been urged to sign for champions-elect Liverpool, despite Mohamed Salah's recent contract extension.

Following months of speculation that has overshadowed an outstanding season for the Egypt international, Salah put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Anfield last Friday.

The former Chelsea and Roma man may be approaching his 33rd birthday, but he has been in scintillating form in 2024-25 and recently broke the record for the most goal contributions in a 38-game Premier League season.

However, as Salah will be almost 35 by the time his next deal runs out, it is difficult to envisage the Egyptian being handed another extension, meaning that Liverpool will have to draw up a succession plan in the coming years.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly continuing to receive interest in forward Fabio Silva.

Despite productive loan stints at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers, it became clear over the summer that Silva has likely played his last game for the Premier League outfit.

As such, a loan switch to Las Palmas was facilitated towards the back end of that transfer window and it has worked out far better than all parties could have envisaged.

The 22-year-old has chipped in with 10 goals and three assists, including netting at Barcelona and Real Madrid, from his 23 appearances in La Liga.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly fallen down the pecking order in the race to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.

The North Londoners are currently preparing to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.

Whether Ange Postecoglou retains his role as head coach could be dependent on Spurs going further in that competition, a trophy win likely required to save his job given the club's struggles in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, Spurs remain an attractive option due to their stadium and location, with several high-profile additions still likely to be made during the summer transfer window.

"Saudi clubs in for Alisson": Reds' plans for number one after West Ham heroics

Alisson Becker may not have a long-term future at Liverpool

Liverpool could sell goalkeeper Alisson Becker in the summer of 2026 in order to install Giorgi Mamardashvili as number one, Liverpool transfer expert David Lynch has claimed.

The Merseysiders emerged as 2-1 victors against West Ham United on Sunday thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk, but boss Arne Slot will be concerned by his team's second-half performance.

Were it not for goalkeeper Alisson Becker, the Reds could have easily dropped points, but the Brazilian proved once again why he is considered amongst the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League.

With Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili set to join the Reds in the summer, Lynch suggested that the club may only keep Alisson at Anfield for one more season, telling Sports Mole: "There's quite a lot up in the air in terms of the Saudi clubs in for Alisson - [will they be in] more firmly this summer? There was definite interest last summer. They did contact his representatives.

Arsenal have allegedly identified one of Newcastle United's star players as a potential summer transfer target.

The Gunners are currently preparing to take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.

However, as a result of sitting 13 points adrift of leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, Mikel Arteta and new sporting director Andrea Berta are eyeing fresh faces for 2025-26.

Many Arsenal supporters would be in favour of acquiring the services of a traditional number to compete with Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino, who has stepped into the breach left by injuries to Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester United will reportedly have to pay €100m (£86.5m) if they want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike during this summer's transfer window.

The Frenchman has been in excellent form for Frankfurt during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 21 goals and registering nine assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Ekitike has scored four times and registered three assists in 11 Europa League appearances this season, including a goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of their quarter-final last week.

The 22-year-old will now be looking to inspire his side past Tottenham when the two sides lock horns for the second leg of their last-eight contest in Germany on Thursday night.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sell Alejandro Garnacho for as little as €40m (£34m) during this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old scored his 10th goal of the 2024-25 campaign in Man United's 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, while he has also contributed eight assists in his 49 appearances this term.

There is uncertainty when it comes to the Argentina international's future at Old Trafford, though, as there are huge question marks when it comes to his suitability for a Ruben Amorim team.

Napoli are believed to have made an offer for Garnacho during the January transfer window, with the Italian outfit said to be determined to secure his signature in the middle of the season.
