Arsenal have confirmed the sale of young midfielder Charlie Patino to Spanish second-tier side Deportivo La Coruna in a deal reportedly worth £1m.

The 20-year-old was long considered one of the finest talents to emerge from the Arsenal youth academy, whom he joined at the age of 11 in 2015 after stints with St Albans City and Luton Town.

Patino was labelled "the best" player to ever join the Arsenal academy by former head of scouting Sean O'Connor, and he sent tongues wagging with his skilful displays at Under-18 and Under-21 level.

It did not take long for Patino to catch the eye of Mikel Arteta, who handed him his first-team debut in an EFL Cup clash against Sunderland in 2021, a game that the midfielder scored in.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has ruled out selling midfielder Wataru Endo in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old Tunisian joined United's youth system from Monaco in 2019 and made 13 first-team appearances for the club, scoring once, in a 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last season.

Mejbri has earned 27 caps for his national team and spent the entire of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Birmingham City.

He returned to Old Trafford at the start of last season but was sent on another loan spell to Sevilla, though he only made six appearances for the La Liga outfit, who opted against exercising their option to permanently sign the midfielder.

Having signed for midfielder from Ipswich Town, Wolves would have always aimed to hand minutes to the youngster at some stage of his development.

However, on the back of Gary O'Neil having a number of attacking injury issues towards the back end of last season, the 20-year-old racked up one start and nine substitute outings in all competitions.

After accumulating 152 minutes across those appearances, Chirewa would have hoped to have remained in O'Neil's plans for the 2024-25 campaign.

Manchester City have reportedly accepted a £30m bid from Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal for out-of-favour full-back Joao Cancelo.

The 30-year-old defender has not featured for the Citizens since a dispute with Pep Guardiola over playing time 18 months ago.

Since then, Cancelo has been sent on loan to Bayern Munich and Barcelona, and while he is currently back training with the Premier League champions, he has been left out of their matchday squads for the first two games of this season.

City signed Cancelo from Juventus in 2019 as part of a £60m deal, and at one point, the full-back was regarded as one of the best in the world in his position under Guardiola's guidance.
