Liverpool could put Trent wages to good use as defender 'demands £120k pay rise'
Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate is supposedly holding out for a mammoth pay rise before he commits his future to the Reds with a new contract.
The France international is still on the same five-year deal he penned upon his arrival from RB Leipzig in 2021, meaning that his terms expire at the end of the 2025-26 season.
However, Liverpool have made it their mission to extend Konate's stay, as the 25-year-old has become a key component of a Reds side that are 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Konate struggled with recurring injuries during the earliest days of his Liverpool spell, but the centre-back has largely stayed fit this term and has made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and setting up two more.
"Make some profit" - Liverpool 'open' to reducing Scotsman's £30m price tag
Crystal Palace have reportedly baulked at Liverpool's asking price for up-and-coming attacker Ben Doak, but the Reds could be willing to let him go for lower than their valuation.
The 19-year-old shone for a Middlesbrough side that are pushing for a playoff place in the Championship table, contributing three goals and seven assists from his first 24 Championship games of the season.
However, Doak has been sidelined with a thigh injury since the end of January, and there are fears that the Scottish starlet could sit out the remainder of the season as he recovers from surgery.
Nevertheless, having showcased his abilities in the second tier of English football, Doak may be deemed ready for the step-up to the Premier League next season, albeit potentially not at Anfield.
The final straw? Man United 'in contact' to sign £60m Onana replacement
Manchester United have reportedly made contact over a summer deal for a Premier League goalkeeper in the wake of Andre Onana's latest horror show.
The Cameroon international has built up a reputation for fatal mistakes ever since his arrival at Old Trafford - leading Nemanja Matic to label him one of Man United's "worst" goalkeepers of all time earlier this week - and he was culpable yet again in Thursday's 2-2 Europa League draw with Lyon.
Onana was at fault for both goals, including a last-minute equaliser from Rayan Cherki, as he committed his eighth and ninth errors directly leading to a goal since the start of last season.
No Premier League goalkeeper has committed more such mistakes in that timeframe, and three of those errors have come this season, the most of any goalkeeper playing in a top five European league to make at least 30 appearances in 2024-25.
'Struggle to compete' - Man Utd, Chelsea 'in pole position' for PL attacker
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly positioned ahead of Everton in the race for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
The England Under-21 international is said to have peaked the interest of a host of top-flight clubs this season, including the Red Devils of Manchester.
Despite Ipswich's major struggles, Delap is enjoying positive form since returning from the international break, scoring in back-to-back matches versus Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 22-year-old has taken to the top flight like a duck to water during the 2024-25 season, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists across 30 appearances.
Prem boss opens door to summer move for Man United midfielder Eriksen
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has said that he would be interested in speaking with Manchester United Christian Eriksen about a return to the club on a free transfer this summer.
The Denmark international has made 28 appearances for the Red Devils this season, scoring four goals and registering four assists in the process, but his contract is due to expire at the end of June, and a new deal is unlikely.
The 33-year-old is therefore set to become available on a free transfer, and Brentford boss Frank has opened the door for a potential move back to the Bees for the experienced midfielder.
"A lot can get lost in translation. Of course the question came up about Christian Eriksen because he is a very important player for Denmark, and they know the connection between Christian and I," Frank told reporters after initially being asked about Eriksen by Danish media earlier this week.
Shock switch: European powerhouses 'set sights' on Ipswich attacker
Ipswich Town attacker Jack Clarke is reportedly wanted by PSV Eindhoven ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old and the Tractor Boys are heading for an immediate return to the Championship following last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Portman Road.
Ipswich are languishing in 18th position in the Premier League standings, a mammoth 12 points behind Wolves in 17th, meaning that relegation appears highly likely.
Clarke - a star in the Championship for Sunderland last season - has struggled to make the step up to the top flight of English football in East Anglia.
Italian clubs 'monitoring Man United forward' ahead of possible summer transfer
Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund's situation is reportedly being monitored by a number of Serie A clubs, with the Denmark international potentially being on the move during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old scored 16 times in all competitions during his first season at Old Trafford, but it has been a struggle for him during the 2024-25 campaign, only managing eight goals in 41 outings in all competitions.
Hojlund has been impressive in the Europa League this season, scoring five times and registering three assists in 10 appearances, but he has only managed three goals and one assist in 26 Premier League appearances.
The Dane has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2028, with the option of a further year, but there has recently been speculation surrounding his future, with Man United believed to be considering letting him leave.
Mac Allister's Liverpool transfer stance revealed
Alexis Mac Allister's father, Carlos Mac Allister, has insisted that his son has no plans to leave Liverpool in the near future.
Liverpool are heading towards a key transfer window, which could see a number of arrivals and outgoings following two relatively quiet markets under sporting director Richard Hughes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is among those who are set to leave, with the Liverpool star set to join Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Alexis Mac Allister is another player who has previously been linked with a potential move to the Spanish giants at some point in his career.
Huijsen confirms release clause amid Real Madrid, Liverpool interest
Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has admitted that he has a release clause in his contract amid interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool.
Last month, it was reported that Real Madrid were set to step up their pursuit of Huijsen after identifying the Bournemouth defender as a possible transfer target.
The centre-back subsequently fuelled the speculation when he admitted that it was an "honour" to be linked with a club of Real Madrid's stature.
Liverpool have also been mentioned as a potential suitor, while Chelsea are another club who are said to be in the race for Huijsen's signature.
"He's good enough" - Agent of Liverpool star talks up Real Madrid move
The agent of Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has opened the door to a surprise future move to Real Madrid.
Liverpool are already facing the prospect of losing one of their key players to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold is widely expected to join Los Blancos on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.
The right-back has reportedly agreed to sign a five-year deal with Real Madrid, having seemingly made the decision to end his long association with his boyhood club.
Spurs 'preparing summer swoop' for £50m-rated PL defender
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing up a big-money move for a Premier League defender in the summer transfer window.
The North Londoners have endured a disappointing 2024-25 campaign on the domestic front and are in danger of failing to qualify for Europe next season.
Ange Postecoglou's side are currently down in 14th place in the Premier League table after losing 16 of their 31 matches, sitting eight points behind the top half and 14 points behind Aston Villa in seventh.
Tottenham's season ultimately rests on their Europa League campaign, with Postecoglou under pressure to steer his side through a challenging quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt and go all the way to win the competition to secure Champions League football for next season.
Man City 'appreciate' £15m Spurs man as full-back guarantee is revealed
Manchester City have reportedly identified one of Tottenham Hotspur's first-team players as a potential target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Big changes are expected at the Etihad Stadium with Pep Guardiola's side to resume their much-needed squad rebuild in the summer after spending around £180m on four players in January.
Man City's transfer activity will likely depend on whether they will qualify for next season's Champions League, with the Citizens currently sitting sixth in the Premier League table and just one point behind the top five with seven games remaining.
Last season's top-flight champions are expected to prioritise the addition of at least one new midfielder now that Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Astronomical: PSG 'set asking price' for Doue amid PL 'enquiries'
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly set an 'astronomical' asking price for star attacker Desire Doue amid interest from Premier League clubs.
The Ligue 1 champions spent €50m to sign Doue from Rennes last summer and the 19-year-old has since established himself as an important player under head coach Luis Enrique.
Doue has contributed with 12 goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances for PSG across all competitions, including 10 goals and six assists in 23 matches since the turn of the year.
The versatile wideman is currently enjoying a purple patch in front of goal, scoring five goals in his last four games including a superb strike in PSG's 3-1 first-leg win over Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night.
£17m summer deal: Spurs 'eye move' for Barcelona centre-back
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering making a move for Barcelona defender Eric Garcia this summer, but the North London club are likely to face competition from a number of La Liga clubs.
Garcia was heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona during the January transfer window, with Girona and Como both believed to have been in touch with the Catalan giants to register their interest.
Barcelona chiefs had allegedly been willing to let the Spain international leave for as little as €7m (£5.8m) plus add-ons, only for head coach Hansi Flick to block the move, as he viewed Garcia as an important squad player.
The 24-year-old has made 33 appearances at club level this season, including 21 outings in La Liga, but he is behind Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez and Ronald Araujo when it comes to the starting roles in the middle of the defence.
Fiorentina 'respond' as Man United 'consider' De Gea return amid Onana struggles
Fiorentina are reportedly planning to trigger a one-year extension in the contract of David de Gea amid suggestions that Manchester United could attempt to re-sign their former goalkeeper this summer.
De Gea represented Man United between 2011 and 2023, and he will be remembered as one of the best goalkeepers in the club's history, having starred over a number of seasons for the Red Devils.
The 34-year-old was released by the English club at the end of the 2022-23 season, with Andre Onana signed as his replacement, and the Spaniard then spent a season out of the game before joining Fiorentina in August 2024.
The Spaniard has been in excellent form for the Purples this term, keeping 10 clean sheets in 31 appearances in all competitions, and recent reports have linked him with a spectacular return to Man United.
