Curtis Allen and Marley Watkins have not recovered from their respective injuries and will miss out on making their debuts for Inverness, while new arrival Dean Brill replaces goalkeeper Ryan Esson.

St Mirren are without influential duo Kenny McLean and David Barron, who have both been unable to recover from injuries.

It was thought Darren McGregor would make a competitive return, but the defender has had to settle for a place on the bench as he makes his comeback from a serious knee injury sustained at the beginning of last season.

Inverness: Brill; Raven, Warren, Meekings, Shinnie; Vincent, Draper, Foran, Doran; Ross, Mckay

St Mirren: Cornell; Van Zanten, Goodwin, McGinn, Harkins; Thompson, McGowan, McAusland, Reilly; Teale, Grainger
