The Football Association has banned Fulham's Ryan Tunnicliffe for two games and fined the midfielder £5,000 after he admitted a charge of aggravated misconduct by reference to sexual orientation.

The 22-year-old sent a derogatory tweet about Middlesbrough's Patrick Bamford, labelling the Chelsea loanee a "sausage boy" after they failed to win the Championship playoff final against Norwich City last month.

Former Manchester United man Tunnicliffe will now miss the first two games of next season after the below tweet, which has since been deleted.

"Happy that Middlesbrough didn't go up, just for the main fact that @Patrick_Bamford is a sausage boy," wrote Tunnicliffe.

Tunnicliffe must also attend an education course.
