Good morning everyone! We're gearing up for what could be another busy day of transfer activity. No prizes for guessing who dominated the headlines yesterday... Manchester United. Louis van Gaal added both Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin to his squad, literally within minutes of one another! Another good sign for United fans is that David de Gea [flew out] with his teammates to the United States for their pre-season tour, which indicates that he might not be signing for Real Madrid after all. Everything can change in an instant in transfer world though, so we'll keep an eye on that one.

Raheem Sterling was also a dominant presence in the transfer gossip pages (when hasn't he been this summer?!). Reports yesterday claimed that the 20-year-old was [having a medical] with Manchester City ahead of a £49m move from Liverpool. We are yet to hear anymore on this transfer, but I imagine that it's only a matter of time before we see Sterling in sky blue.

It was not that long ago when Xherdan Shaqiri seemed to be on the move to Stoke City. After the Potters agreed a £12m fee with Inter Milan, everything appeared to be moving in the right direction, but it is believed that the Premier League club failed to agree terms with the player. Today, Stoke manager Mark Hughes spoke about the situation and admitted that a transfer is unlikely to happen.

Robert Lewandowski, Kevin de Bruyne and Edin Dzeko all feature in our latest transfer talk update. Take a look for yourself to see who made headlines overnight.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been linked with a move away from the La Liga giants for some time, and stories continue to surface regarding the Frenchman's future. According to a reports in Spain, Arsenal will offer him an escape from Santiago Bernabeu if he does not feature under new Real coach Rafael Benitez.

DONE DEAL! In the Championship, Leeds United have made their fifth signing of the summer with the capture of Tom Adeyemi. The midfielder has moved to Elland Road on a season-long loan deal from Cardiff City.

More news from the Championship now and it concerns one of the stand-out performers in the division last season. Nottingham Forest's Michail Antonio has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion this summer, with the Baggies reportedly keen to do a deal. However, Forest boss Dougie Freedman has assured Reds supporters that he has no plans to sell the winger, who netted 14 times last term.

Some good news for Everton fans. Manager Roberto Martinez has responded to reports suggesting that Aiden McGeady could be on his way out of Goodison Park by stating that he intends to keep hold of the winger.

Queens Park Rangers duo Charlie Austin and Matt Phillips have been linked with moves away from Loftus Road since the club's relegation from the Premier League. However, director of football Les Ferdinand has warned that the Hoops will not drop their asking prices for the pair.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has admitted that he does not expect to sign Victor Moses this summer. The winger spent last season on loan at the club from Chelsea, scoring four goals in 23 appearances for the Potters.

Raheem Sterling is reportedly undergoing a medical at Manchester City ahead of his potential move from Liverpool. The England international is expected to join the former Premier League champions for £49m following talks between the two clubs.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that both Bjorn Sigurdarson and Georg Margreitter are free to leave Molineux before the end of the transfer window.

Schalke 04 have confirmed that they are interested in signing Inter Milan forward Xherdan Shaqiri. The Switzerland international has recently been linked with a move away from the San Siro, despite joining Inter just six months ago from Bayern Munich.

West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign highly sought-after Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin. The Hammers could be ready to offer either Matt Jarvis or Kevin Nolan plus cash to secure the 26-year-old's services.

BREAKING! Birmingham City have announced that sought-after teenager Demarai Gray has signed a new three-year contract. More here.

Staying put?!

DONE DEAL! It's a busy day in the Football League. Wigan Athletic have secured the services of Will Grigg from Brentford, while Ryan Bird has penned a two-year deal with Yeovil Town.

David Moyes has been vocal in his desire to bolster his Real Sociedad squad this summer and it seems that he is now off and running. The Basque outfit have reached an agreement to sign Mexico international Diego Reyes on loan from Porto, with the deal due to be finalised after the Gold Cup.

DON'T GO PEDRO! Staying in Spain, Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has admitted that he does not want to lose Pedro. The 27-year-old, who is said to be frustrated by a lack of minutes on the pitch at the Camp Nou, has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal in recent weeks.

This is the scene in Istanbul as Fenerbahce prepare to unveil Robin van Persie:

Back in England, Raheem Sterling has undergone a medical and he is now believed to be on his way to the Etihad Stadium, where he is expected to finalise his move to Manchester City. Finally it looks like this saga is coming to an end!

As for Arsenal, their transfer plans may well have taken a knock. The Gunners have been strongly linked with Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, who shone at the recent European Under-21 Championships. However, his club have just confirmed that the 23-year-old has broken his leg, which is likely to have ended any chances of a move this summer.

BREAKING! Raheem Sterling becomes the most expensive Englishman ever as Man City complete a £49m move to sign him from Liverpool. More here.

Sterling will wear the number seven for the two-time Premier League champions.

Aston Villa managed to keep Fabian Delph away from Manchester City, but will Christian Benteke still be in claret and blue next season? Here's what Tim Sherwood has had to say.

DONE DEAL! Former Wigan Athletic keeper Ali Al-Habsi joins Championship side Reading, where he will compete with fellow new boy Jonathan Bond for the number-one spot following Adam Federici's exit.

DONE DEAL! Watford have been by far the most active Premier League club, both with new contracts and new faces, this summer and they've just signed another player with the addition of Allan Nyom from Udinese.

Former Chelsea player Damien Duff completes his move to Irish side Shamrock Rovers. The winger, now right at the twilight of his career, will reportedly donate all of his wages to charity.

So, City have finally got their man in Sterling, but could they be about to raid the other club on Merseyside? This is the Everton man that they've been linked with this evening.

He was so good in his debut Premier League season, but Garry Monk doesn't believe that Michu will wear the white of Swansea again.

David de Gea has travelled to the States on Man United's pre-season tour, but a former Red Devils keeper believes that the Spaniard will join Real Madrid now that Iker Casillas has moved to Porto.

From Madrid to Munich, and it appears that Bayern may not be getting one of their rumoured targets this summer. Granit Xhaka has been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena, but Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has insisted that will not happen.

It has been a busy day in the transfer window today, and one of the most significant moves saw Robin van Persie end his 11-year stay in the Premier League. Much has been made of Barcelona's position in the current transfer window. Should the club get some positive news following its presidential elections this weekend, one report suggests that Chelsea could be waiting in the wings to seal a £22m deal for winger Pedro.

More now regarding the speculation surrounding Angel di Maria's future at Manchester United. According to The Express, the former Premier League champions could be looking to explore a deal to swap the Argentine international for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani this summer.
