Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both start the international friendly between Portugal and Argentina at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have both been named in the starting lineups for the international friendly between Portugal and Argentina at Old Trafford this evening.

The Real Madrid forward returns to Manchester United's ground alongside the likes of Nani, William Carvalho and Joao Moutinho for the Portuguese side.

Meanwhile, Messi will play alongside Manchester United's record signing Angel di Maria for the World Cup runners-up, while Gonzalo Higuain will partner Messi up front.

Ronaldo and Messi have both been named as captains for the fixture, which will be the 27th meeting between the two players.
