Gus Poyet: We have to play "perfect game"

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet believes that his side will have to be flawless in their home clash against Manchester United to take all three points on Sunday.

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet feels that his side will have to play a "perfect" game to have a chance of beating Manchester United in their Premier League clash.

The Black Cats earned a surprise win over the Red Devils last season at Old Trafford, as well as recording victory over them in the Capital One Cup semi-final.

Poyet told the club's official website: "To win or to have a chance of winning against the top teams once you may be lucky, but to do it regularly you have to be playing at your best, take your chances and defend well.

"You have to have as close as possible to a perfect game."

Sunderland host United at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
