Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham says that he has been inspired by the rapid development of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has admitted that he has taken encouragement from the development of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Despite only making his first-team debut in February, Rashford has already established himself as an Old Trafford regular while he has also been promoted to the England senior setup.

Abraham is currently impressing during a season-long loan spell with Bristol City, and the attacker has acknowledged that Rashford has set a leading example to the rest of his age category.

The 19-year-old is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "Rashford is a good example for all of the youngsters, really. He is just a great player and he is getting a chance and he is performing.

"Every time that you get that chance out on the pitch, you just have to give your all and hopefully the chances will keep coming.

"I've played against him. I played against him two weeks before his debut and it was phenomenal. We knew he was a danger for his team. This was at Under-18 level in the Youth Cup and a few weeks later, he went out and won the actual FA Cup so that was a dream for him and I'm happy for him."

Abraham has already scored 11 times in all competitions this season, while he opened his account for England Under-21s on Tuesday.
