Antonio Conte names an unchanged side for the trip to face Southampton at St Mary's Stadium, while the Saints make one alteration from their last outing.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has named an unchanged side from last weekend for the trip to face Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.

The Blues have won three on the bounce in the Premier League since reverting to a new 3-4-3 formation, scoring nine unanswered goals in the process to climb back up the table.

Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill will therefore retain their places in the three-man backline, with John Terry - who was handed a starting berth in the EFL Cup defeat to West Ham United in midweek - having to settle for a place on the bench.

There is still no room in the squad for Cesc Fabregas, who has been struggling with an injury problem over the past month, though Branislav Ivanovic does return to the bench for the Blues following his own recent layoff.

In terms of the visitors, boss Claude Puel has made just the one alteration from last weekend's draw against Manchester City by bringing former Blues defender Ryan Bertrand back into the side.

The England international has shaken off a knock that has seen him miss his side's last four outings, taking the place of academy product Sam McQueen who drops to the bench for the visit of Chelsea.

Chelsea, who have scored at least once in each of their last 13 games against today's opponents, could make it four wins in succession in the Premier League this afternoon for the first time since April 2015.

Southampton: Forster, Martina, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Romeu, Clasie, Davis, Tadic, Redmond, Austin
Subs: Taylor, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Boufal, Hojbjerg, Olomola, McQueen

Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso, Pedro, Diego Costa, Hazard
Subs: Begovic, Ivanovic, Terry, Chalobah, Oscar, Willian, Batshuayi
