Messages banned from footballers' t-shirts

The International Football Association Board have ruled that footballers will be punished if they display messages on t-shirts under their kit.

The ruling was made on Saturday following a meeting between the game's lawmakers in Zurich.

The new law, which relates to political equipment, had been proposed by the Football Association.

It will apply to both domestic and international football.
