New Fulham striker Matt Smith has admitted that he was delighted to join the club from Leeds United on transfer deadline day.
The 25-year-old has moved to Craven Cottage on a three-year deal, with the option of a further year.
"It all happened quite late, but that's transfer deadline day," Smith told Fulham's official website.
"I'm absolutely delighted that the deal got done, though, and it goes without saying that I'm looking forward to getting my career at the club started.
"I'm excited by the challenge and hopefully it will prove to be a successful period for Fulham and myself. I have a lot to offer and hopefully I can play my part – as a new player you just want to show what you can do."
Smith scored 13 goals in 43 appearances for Leeds last season.
