Agent: 'Hakan Calhanoglu wants Hamburg stay'

Hakan Calhanoglu's representative says that the Turkish midfielder is not planning to depart Hamburg.

The agent of Hamburg midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has insisted that his client will not be hampered by speculation regarding his future.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Roma.

However, having recently committed his future to his Bundesliga employers, the Turkish international's representative Bektas Demirtas has claimed that he has no intention of departing the Imtech Arena.

"The lad has always said he is a Hamburg player. He only signed a new contract in the winter until June 2018. He signed it because he has a future plan," he told the Hamburger Morgenpost.

"His plan is to be a success at Hamburg in the next few years. The rumours are usual, but they will have no impact on Hakan."

Calhanoglu has made 27 appearances this season, scoring nine goals in the process.
