Stuart Pearce confirms that Josh McEachran will miss his team's Under-21 qualifier with Norway on Monday with a thigh injury.

England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce has confirmed that Josh McEachran will miss Monday night's qualifier with Norway through injury.

The Chelsea youngster has returned to his loan club Middlesbrough to receive treatment on a thigh problem.

Pearce said: "Josh McEachran has gone back to his club. He has a slight niggle and felt a little bit tight in his thigh, but we are hopeful he will be available for his club on Saturday.

"West Brom defender Craig Dawson is also missing through suspension, having picked up two yellow cards."

Pearce's side face Norway in Chesterfield on Monday, looking to secure a high seeding for next month's knockout playoff for a place in the 2013 Uefa European Championship.
