Tottenham Hotspur defender DeAndre Yedlin has stated that he was relieved to have joined Sunderland on loan.
The American had been linked with a host of clubs before sealing a season-long loan switch to the Stadium of Light.
"My agent texted and said call me as soon as you can. He said I think Sunderland may be a go," he told the Shields Gazette.
"I'm relieved its over. This last month has been pretty stressful because there have been so many different teams that have come up and then gone.
"I have some sort of say but not a whole ton, so that was tough. But I'm glad where I ended up and I'm hoping to make the most out of it."
Yedlin has made just one senior appearance for Spurs.
