Michael Dawson delighted with late Tottenham Hotspur goal

Michael Dawson says that there is "nothing better" than a late goal following Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 win over Cardiff City.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has said that today's win over Cardiff City has put his team in a great position in the Premier League.

Despite creating a plethora of chances in the Welsh capital, it took until the third minute of injury time for the North London side to break through thanks to Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.

"There's no better feeling than a late goal," BBC Sport quotes Dawson as saying. "We had plenty of chances to kill them off earlier but they dug deep and their keeper made some great saves.

"It's a win and a clean sheet - but I always say it starts from the front. We created chances so it's looking positive.

"It's still early but we've put ourselves in a great position. It normally takes time for new signings to settle, but the way we've got four wins out of five, you can't argue with that."

Spurs are level on points with rivals Arsenal at the top of the table.
