Jonas Gutierrez believes that Newcastle United will work hard to fight off Manchester City on Sunday.

Newcastle United winger Jonas Gutierrez believes that Manchester City will have to be on top form in order to get a positive result at the Sports Direct Arena on Sunday.

The Magpies have the chance to halt City's pursuit of the Premier League title this weekend as the North East side try to break into the top four before the close of the season.

"It is going to be a massive game, we know that we have to be really focused for 90 minutes," The Express quotes Gutierrez as saying.

"They have a fantastic team and squad and if they want to keep going to get the title they have to come to our place to win the game, which is not easy for any team.

"We know what they can do and they still have to come and play very well to beat us. We are a very good team as well and they will know that. At home this season we have been excellent – every team that comes to us knows that they find things very difficult at our place."

Tottenham Hotspur's superior goal difference is the only thing separating Newcastle from fourth spot in the table.
