Jack Wilshere: 'I'm feeling better and better'

Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere is hopeful of continuing his contribution having completed a full 90 minutes of a Premier League game for the first time since 2014.

Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere has said that he is improving each week having played the full 90 minutes of his side's 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

The 24-year-old was kept on for a full Premier League game for the first time since 2014 as the Cherries held out for a point against his parent club Arsenal's North London rivals.

Wilshere has already made more league starts for Bournemouth this season than in his previous two seasons for Arsenal combined, and the injury-prone England international is keen to keep contributing.

"We knew we had to match them, they are a great team with quality on the ball. We knew that if we played well under pressure we would do well," he told reporters.

"I feel better and better each week. The manager has been great to me and I feel like I am getting fitter and fitter. Hopefully, I can contribute more."

The draw saw Bournemouth move up to ninth in the Premier League table courtesy of a fourth straight game without defeat.
