The £150m hurdle: How are Haaland's Man City contract talks progressing?
Manchester City are reportedly growing increasingly optimistic about their chances of agreeing a bumper new contract with Erling Haaland, but there is still one significant hurdle to overcome.
The two-time Golden Boot winner is still on the same terms he penned upon his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, which still have another three years left to run, but a move to La Liga has been mooted for some time.
Real Madrid have long been credited with an interest in Haaland, while Barcelona have also been tipped to move for him as a successor to Robert Lewandowski, reports that sporting director Deco responded to a few days ago.
However, there is not thought to have been any major concern from City's side over Haaland's future, and according to The Mirror, the Citizens are growing hopeful that an agreement will be sealed in the near future.
Amorim reunion: Lindelof addresses Man United exit talk amid AC Milan interest
Victor Lindelof has said that he is determined to work his way back into the Manchester United starting side, with the Sweden international preparing to reunite with Ruben Amorim.
The centre-back played alongside Amorim at Benfica back in October 2013, and the Portuguese has now become Man United's new head coach, with his contract beginning last week.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding Lindelof's future, with the 30-year-old's contract due to expire at the end of the campaign, and he is widely expected to leave on a free transfer.
Lindelof has made seven appearances for the Red Devils this season, but he has only played 58 minutes of Premier League football during the 2024-25 campaign.
Swap deal on the cards? Man United 'hatch plan' to sign goal machine Osimhen
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in a deal which could see struggling Red Devils striker Joshua Zirkzee move in the opposite direction.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli at the start of September, and he has represented the Turkish giants on nine occasions during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring eight goals and registering four assists in the process.
As it stands, the 25-year-old will head back to Naples next summer, with suggestions that his loan spell could be ended in January believed to be wide of the mark.
Osimhen was frozen out of the Napoli squad after failing to secure a permanent exit over the summer, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain believed to have been the most interested European clubs.
"We'll see" - Gyokeres speaks out on Man United interest after Amorim move
Sporting Lisbon centre-forward Viktor Gyokeres said "we'll see" when asked whether he could make the move to Manchester United next year.
Gyokeres is believed to have become Man United's leading centre-forward target for next summer's transfer window following the departure of Ruben Amorim to Old Trafford as the new head coach.
Amorim managed Sporting on 231 occasions between March 4, 2020 and November 10, 2024 before taking charge of Man United, with the 39-year-old's arriving in England at the start of last week.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding Gyokeres's future, with Amorim admitting towards the end of his time at Sporting that the Sweden international is likely to be on the move next summer.
Enzo Maresca 'huge fan' of Bournemouth defender as Chelsea 'weigh up' potential offer
Chelsea have reportedly added Bournemouth defender Illia Zabarnyi to their list of potential defensive targets ahead of the January transfer window.
Zabarnyi has been highly impressive since joining the Cherries from Dynamo Kyiv for around £24 million in January 2023, and has featured in all 11 of their Premier League matches this season.
The 22-year-old Ukraine international, who was on the radar of Premier League giants Arsenal, extended his contract at the Vitality Stadium last summer and is now tied to the club until 2029.
However, despite penning a new deal with the Cherries, it seems that Zabarnyi is still being tracked by clubs in England, including the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Man United to battle shock contender for Bayern Munich star?
Manchester United could be set to do battle with an unexpected competitor in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to a report.
The Red Devils have made their worst-ever start to a Premier League season this term and opted to part ways with Erik ten Hag after a 2-1 loss to West Ham United at the end of October.
With Ruben Amorim now at the helm, United are believed to be open to the idea of selling Casemiro in the coming months, even though the 32-year-old has had a strong start to this season following a difficult campaign last year.
The Brazilian midfielder is one of the highest earners at Old Trafford, and United are looking to cash in on him as he enters the final 18 months of his contract, particularly if they can secure a younger and more cost-effective replacement.
Chelsea, Arsenal 'suffer transfer blow' as high-profile striker makes decision over January move
Victor Osimhen is reportedly not interested in ending his loan spell with Galatasaray during the January transfer window despite interest from Premier League sides Chelsea and Arsenal.
Napoli attempted to sell Osimhen permanently during the summer, with Chelsea negotiating right up until the final hours of the transfer window, but they were unable to finalise a deal before the deadline.
With the Nigerian international subsequently frozen out of the Napoli squad and missing the chance to secure a move to another top-five European league, he ultimately joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on a 12-month loan.
The 25-year-old attacker has adapted to life in Istanbul very well since his arrival, notching up six goals in as many Super Lig matches for the Turkish giants, and it seems that he is in no hurry to secure his next move.
Tottenham 'make major decision' over Cardoso clause
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to activate Johnny Cardoso's release clause amid interest from Aston Villa.
Spurs have the option to purchase the Real Betis midfielder after the clause was included as part of the deal that saw Giovani Lo Celso join the Spanish club in the summer.
Tottenham can buy Cardoso for a fixed fee of €25m (£21m), although the clause will allegedly expire in June next year.
Alternatively, Tottenham will be eligible to receive a percentage of any future sale if they decide against signing Cardoso on a permanent deal.
Juventus 'add' Badiashile to shortlist alongside two PL defenders
Italian giants Juventus have reportedly added Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile to their list of defensive targets.
Chelsea splashed out a reported £32.7m to sign Badiashile from Monaco in January 2023, with the centre-back putting pen to paper on a long-term deal until the summer of 2030.
Badiashile has been unable to establish himself as a regular starter since swapping the Principality for Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman has been restricted to one Premier League appearance during the current campaign, with Enzo Maresca preferring to utilise Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill as his main central defensive pairing.
Liverpool 'make enquiry' over deal for £21m-rated Ligue 1 star

On Friday, France's Direction Nationale du Controle de Gestion (DNCG) announced that Lyon have been provisionally relegated from Ligue 1 due to their perilous financial situation.
Lyon will now have to demonstrate an improved economic outlook if they are to avoid being relegated at the end of the season.
As a result, the French side will likely have to look at the prospect of selling some of their prized assets in an effort to raise crucial funds.
Heading for Real Madrid? Davies' agent provides update on Bayern defender

The Canada international's contract at Bayern Munich is due to expire at the end of June, and there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future, with a number of major clubs believed to be in the race for his signature.
Real Madrid have long been considered as the favourites, but Barcelona and Manchester United are believed to be firmly in the running for the left-back, who made the move to Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018.
Recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid have already come to an agreement with the 24-year-old, with the defender set to move to Bernabeu on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Man United 'facing battle' to keep wonderkid amid interest from league rivals
Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United defender Harry Amass.
The 17-year-old made the move to Man United from Watford last year, and he has featured on 17 occasions for the club's Under-18s, while he has turned out on nine occasions for Man United Under-23s in Premier League 2.
Amass was a part of the the first-team squad that travelled to the United States over the summer for a pre-season tour, and he has been on the bench for two of the club's last three Premier League matches.
The teenager is still waiting to make his competitive debut for the 20-time English champions, though, despite the Red Devils again having issues at left-back in the opening months of the campaign.
