Team News: Paul Pogba makes second Manchester United debut

World-record signing Paul Pogba will make his second debut for Manchester United during this evening's Premier League clash with Southampton.

Paul Pogba has been named in the Manchester United lineup for their Premier League clash with Southampton at Old Trafford this evening.

The 23-year-old became the world's most expensive footballer on his return to the club earlier this month, joining for an £89m fee from Juventus just four years after leaving United on a free transfer.

Pogba was suspended for his side's opener against Bournemouth last weekend, but will tonight make his second debut for the club having been named in Manchester United's starting XI.

Fellow summer signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored on his Premier League debut on Sunday, and Eric Bailly also start, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan is once again forced to settle for a place on the bench.

Chris Smalling is back available after a suspension of his own, but the England international only makes the bench as Jose Mourinho limits himself to one change from the win over Bournemouth.

Wayne Rooney captains the side on his 600th club appearance, while Juan Mata also retains his place having opened the scoring at the Vitality Stadium.

Southampton, meanwhile, welcome Euro 2016 winner Jose Fonte back into their starting lineup as they look to become only the second side in Premier League history to win on three consecutive visits to Old Trafford.

There is also a full debut for summer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Maya Yoshida and James Ward-Prowse the players to drop out from the opening-day draw against Watford.
