Amorim backs Man United's bid to sign former midfielder
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly backed the club's bid to bring Lille midfielder Angel Gomes back to Old Trafford.
Gomes graduated from Man United's academy system but ultimately failed to force his way into the club's first-team setup.
The 24-year-old was restricted to just 10 first-team appearances, before he left upon the expiry of his contract to sign for Lille in the summer of 2020.
Gomes spent time on loan at Boavista in Portugal, before he returned to France to establish himself as a key figure in the Lille squad.
Amorim's first signing? Man United 'lead the race for in-demand wonderkid'
Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Rosenborg's Sverre Nypan, but the attacker allegedly wants assurances over game time before committing to join the 20-time English champions.
Nypan, 17, is regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, already representing Rosenborg's first team on 58 occasions in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and registering 11 assists in the process.
A host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the youngster, but Man United are said to be in a strong position, with new Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim believed to be a huge admirer of him.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Nypan could become Amorim's first signing at Old Trafford, with the Premier League giants keen to secure his signature during the January transfer window.
'Dream target': Man United 'determined to sign' in-demand 24-year-old
Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is reportedly a 'dream target' for Manchester United, with the Red Devils determined to secure his signature next summer.
Davies, 24, only has a contract with Bayern until June 2025, and there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future, with some of the world's biggest clubs said to be keen to sign him.
Real Madrid have long been regarded as the favourites for the Canada international, and that is believed to still be the case, but Barcelona are also thought to be in the argument for his signature.
Man United, though, continue to be linked with the left-back, and according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Davies is a 'dream target' for the 20-time English champions next summer.
Arsenal to cash in on three players during January transfer window?
Arsenal may allegedly look to raise funds through the sales of three squad members during the January transfer window.
The Gunners have been left off the pace in the race for the Premier League title, already sitting nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
Although injuries have played a part in the progress of Mikel Arteta's side, only possessing the seventh-best attacking record in the division is arguably the pivotal statistic.
Only one player - Kai Havertz - has netted more than three goals in the Premier League, the North Londoners also heavily reliant on seven assists from Bukayo Saka.
Turkish giants identify Spurs forward Son as 'transfer bomb'
Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly be required to fend off interest in Son Heung-min at the start of 2025.
Aside from Harry Kane, the South Korea international has been the standout player in a Spurs shirt for almost a decade.
A total of 165 goals and 87 assists have been contributed from 419 appearances in all competitions, the 32-year-old now the club captain.
However, with less than a year remaining on his contract, Spurs and Son have decisions to make over how to progress forward.
Real Madrid, Barcelona 'battling for Spanish youngster'
Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly contemplating whether to make a formal approach for a Spanish wonderkid.
The two El Clasico rivals have traded La Liga titles in recent seasons, Los Blancos having gotten the upper hand during the 2023-24 campaign.
However, it has been a different story for Barcelona under Hansi Flick with the Catalan giants currently sitting six points clear at the top of the La Liga table.
In the short term, Real are needing to prioritise defensive additions courtesy of Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao suffering season-ending knee injuries.
Liverpool boss Slot 'makes surprise decision' on goalkeeper situation
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has reportedly reached a decision over how he wants to handle the goalkeeping situation at Anfield.
The Dutchman can be delighted with his opening three months of competitive action, his side sitting at the top of the Premier League table by five points.
Slot's team also boast a 100% record in the Champions League, that feat being pulled off despite minimal activity occurring in the transfer market.
However, Slot will have multiple situations to handle over the next seven or eight months with the futures of several key players remaining uncertain.
Arsenal to attempt to replicate Odegaard deal with Real Madrid prospect?
Arsenal have reportedly identified a Real Madrid prospect as a transfer target for 2025, the hope being to replicate a deal that they pulled off for Martin Odegaard.
Back at the start of 2021, the Gunners gave Odegaard a way out from his frustrating period with Los Blancos, who he had joined in 2015.
Although Odegaard had hopes of becoming a Real Madrid star when he was a youngster, the Norwegian was frequently loaned out and restricted to just nine senior appearances for the Spanish giants.
That led to the North Londoners signing Odegaard on a loan deal for the second half of 2020-21, allowing the playmaker to flourish in the Premier League.
Dragusin agent addresses defender's future at Tottenham
Radu Dragusin has no plans to leave Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window, according to his agent.
The Romania international is closing in on a year in North London having been signed from Genoa at the start of 2024.
Although Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are the standout centre-back partnership at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the hope had been that Dragusin would provide competition and added quality in equal measure.
However, the 22-year-old has been limited to just seven starts and six substitute outings in the Premier League, a further five appearances coming in all competitions.
Chelsea attacker being 'monitored' by multiple Premier League clubs
A Chelsea attacker is reportedly starting to attract interest from multiple clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
Enzo Maresca has been given the freedom to build a squad full of depth at Stamford Bridge, there being at least two senior players for every position.
Most notably, the Italian has eight attacking players at his disposal that are full internationals, all of whom bring value to the starting lineup.
However, the downside to possessing such a wide array of talent is trying to keep each player happy, something which appears to have proven difficult if recent reports are to be believed.
Prem battle: Newcastle 'to rival' Man United for 'in-demand' Sporting star
Newcastle United are reportedly preparing to battle Manchester United for the signature of Sporting Lisbon youngster Geovany Quenda.
The 17-year-old has scored twice and registered two assists in 18 appearances for Sporting during the 2024-25 campaign, proving to be one of the breakthrough stars in European football this term.
Sporting signed Quenda to a new contract in September, with his release clause rising to €100m (£83.5m), but there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future, with Man United believed to be determined to sign him.
The 20-time English champions are allegedly keen to agree a deal with the Green and Whites in January, as they fear missing out on his signature due to the number of clubs beginning to express an interest.
'In talks for months': Is Zirkzee heading for Man United exit?
Joshua Zirkzee's agent Kia Joorabchian has reportedly been in discussions with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli 'for months' over the possibility of a January deal for the Manchester United forward.
The Netherlands international made the move to Man United from Bologna over the summer, and he found the back of the net on his debut for the club against Fulham in the opening matchday of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
Zirkzee has failed to register in his 16 appearances since, though, and there has been criticism of his performances.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Dutchman in recent weeks, with a return to Serie A, potentially as soon as January, believed to be a serious possibility for the centre-forward.
Ronaldo return? Legendary attacker tipped to rejoin Man United under Amorim
Former Manchester United forward Louis Saha has said that Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Old Trafford following Ruben Amorim's arrival as the new head coach.
Amorim officially took charge of Man United on November 11, and he is now preparing the Red Devils for Sunday's Premier League clash with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
The 39-year-old has taken over a team currently 13th in the Premier League table, with goals being a major problem this term, managing only 12 in their 11 matches.
Senior strikers Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have only netted three times between them in all competitions this season, and there have been suggestions that the Red Devils could target a forward in January.
