Dusan Tadic and Graziano Pelle come in to replace the injured Charlie Austin - ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring problem - and Shane Long, who is suffering with a knee injury.

The visiting Black Cats sport two changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace last time out as Younes Kaboul and Fabio Borini start, swapping their places on the bench with Jermaine Defoe and John O'Shea, who has overcome a calf problem in time to be included in the squad.
