"I don't know": Amorim admits uncertainty regarding future of United star

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim on April 10, 2025

Ruben Amorim has admitted that he does not know where the future of Alejandro Garnacho lies amid speculation that he will leave Manchester United.

The Red Devils emerged as 2-0 victors against Aston Villa in controversial circumstances on Sunday, though fans will be relieved that the team managed to win their final Premier League match of the season.

United finished 15th in the league with just 42 points, their lowest ever points tally and placement in the competition's history.

While the club will need to make additions in the summer in order to improve their fortunes next term, they are reportedly strained financially and may be forced to sell players first.

Arsenal have reportedly added Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma to their transfer list, with Mikel Arteta keen to find a starting attacker in the summer.

The Gunners narrowly beat Southampton 2-1 in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday, finishing second for a third consecutive campaign.

However, the Londoners only claimed all three points thanks to a winner from Martin Odegaard in the closing stages of the match, and the nature of the team's win has reignited calls for offensive reinforcements.

Arsenal's tally of 69 goals was 16 fewer than champions Liverpool, and it would not be surprising if Arteta strengthened in attack considering his side have been routinely linked with forward players.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta paid a special tribute to Kieran Tierney following the Scotsman's final goal for the Gunners on his final appearance against Southampton.

Arteta's side made absolutely sure of a second-placed finish in the Premier League table by sinking the Saints 2-1 at St Mary's, where Tierney started a top-flight game for just the second time this season.

The 27-year-old found himself in an unfamiliar centre-back role due to the absence of Riccardo Calafiori, partnering Ben White in an experimental starting XI from his manager.

However, Tierney swapped a centre-back role for a centre-forward's spot towards the end of the first half, getting on the end of White's cross and firing home a delightful first-time finish.

SM Grealish 2 composite

Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish has categorically ruled out a return to boyhood club Aston Villa, Sports Mole understands.

The 29-year-old is facing an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium, with both himself and the Citizens open to a parting of ways in the summer transfer window.

Man City would prefer to send Grealish out on loan, but they are reluctant to let him join a fellow Premier League club who could rival them for a Champions League spot.

However, Grealish's £300,000-a-week wages would be an issue towards any potential move away, as English teams who are not challenging for a top-five finish would struggle to stump up enough of that cash.

Two Premier League phenoms will soon leave the glitz and glamour of English football behind, one to a rousing reception from his current fanbase and other to more unsavoury reactions.

Liverpool local lad Trent Alexander-Arnold confirmed the worst-kept secret a few weeks ago, announcing that he would be departing his boyhood club at the end of his contract ahead of an expected free transfer to Real Madrid.

While Liverpool fought tooth and nail to keep Alexander-Arnold, the Manchester City hierarchy decided that Kevin De Bruyne had outlived his usefulness at the Etihad, opting not to offer the Belgian playmaker a new contract.

As a result, De Bruyne will soon close his 10-year-long Citizens chapter, and the ex-Chelsea starlet is now believed to be on the verge of signing for newly-crowned Serie A champions Napoli, having been able to resist the pull of MLS and Saudi Arabia for now.
